Turkey Trottin'
Last year my friend Heidi wrote a post that she had started a tradition of running in the Turkey Trot every year on Thanksgiving morning. I remember reading that and thinking that that was something that I'd never do. What? Run, in the cold, on a holliday?... Well, guess what? I changed my mind. It was actually a nice feeling to get up and get going while most other people were still sleeping. And it wasn't even very cold. I wore a long sleeve shirt to run, but after it was over I was too hot and took it off. It was a four mile run and my time was much better than I expected, even after I had to stop and walk twice. (I've been having side stitches, anyone have any advice?). I plan to run a 10K in Feb. and then my next goal will be a half marathon. I think that is the farthest I am interested in running, but we'll see how it goes.

I wish we lived closer then I might be inspired to run with you. I always wanted to be a runner...but Mander isn't so interested. It is too easy to acquiesce.
Bananas. Potassium keeps you from getting side stitches. Glad I could help.
