Welcome to paradise! J.Paul and I spent most of our time, well, where else but the beach? Most days we ate breakfast at the villa, packed a lunch and headed out, spent all day beachin', then ate some great seafood out.

Perfect and relaxing.
This was our first day at Hawksnest beach. The video was supposed to be a picture but I'm glad we made a mistake so we could see the beautiful ocean.

Hiking to Honeymoon and Salomon Bays with Cruz bay in the background.

Salomon - one of our very favorites.

On our way to dinner. By the way, this is my newest hairdo, which I really like.

This was at a beach called Drunk Bay. This was a very rocky beach, as you can see, and all over the big rocks, people had made little figurines of people with the rocks. Can you see them? It was a little eerie.

On peace hill in windmill ruines. There used to be a giant statue of Christ right next to these ruines but it got knocked down in a hurricane a few years back.

Our last day, on famous Trunk Bay. Absolutely lovely beach. J.Paul snorkeled aroud that cay behind us.
Below: J.Paul snorkeling in Waterlemon Cay. This is where we saw a giant sea turtle, a ray, and a shark (a small shark). In one of his other excursions J.Paul also saw an octopus.

Goodbye, paradise. We will be back.

That water is unreal...now that is a vacation. I love how it looked like there weren't a million people on the beaches-nice. I also love how touristy you both look in that hiking pic-classic. Were you tempted to leave your life behind and just stay there? Just wondering. Jen
Jenn, actually at times certain beaches were pretty crowded. Especially Trunk Bay is the most crowded, and one of the prettiest. I wasn't really tempted to stay there for 2 reasons: groceries are outrageous, a gallon of milk was over 8 dollars! Also, I was ready to leave the roads behind, they were really swervy, up and down, and all a tad bit too much for me. Good thing I had permanent shotgun. Oh, I lie, 3 reasons, and the 3rd is the most important. There are wild roosters and chickens roaming around, and waking me up at 4:30 am and cocka-doodle-doing until 8:00 am every 5 minutes. I have never wanted to murder anything until that time. I ended up buying earplugs, very overpriced earplugs.
When I read the first line of this entry I get that Green Day song in my head.
That place looks awesome.
How fabulous!
This is Harlene Carolyn's friend . Yes I have read "Poisonwood Bible", really liked it. There was alot of subtleties about the people that she captured.
You will Love "Land of a Thousand Hills"
