We have to stop at all the green boxes for performances by Amzie. This time she performed her very own number called "Kisses and Hollidays" (the words were "kisses and hollidays, kisses and hollidays, kisses and hollidays, kisses and hollidays). Complete with lots of hot dance moves. And really loud singing.
The kids (well, at least Amzie) pose for a picture.
Evan steals mamma's glasses.
We move on and Evan wants to pull the wagon.
Amzie sits back and relaxes.
Evan stops because he sees a worm. "Look Mommy," he says. "Worm's sleeping." Umm, yeah, Evan, something like that.
The kids spot a dinosaur by someone's mailbox and stop to play.
Apparently this dinosaur's neck moves up and down. Evan pinches his finger and cries. He wants to be held the rest of the way home, so it's Amzie's turn to pull the wagon.
We hear someone call to us from across the street, "Excuse me! Ya vant me to take ya pickcha?" (in a thick German accent). "Thank you very much," we say. "Ya velcome," she says.
Almost home when Amzie stops at this stump and exclaims, "we can tell how old this tree is by counting how many rings it has!" (no idea how she knows this). She counts and determines it is 13 years old.
We get home and have lunch (and Amzie gets comfortable). Amzie and Evan both decide to wash down their lunch with a little pickle juice.
(this is so typical of these two and our days at this moment in our life so I wanted to record it)

Hey, I think this post is fantastic!
13 years old huh? Close! Love this post, its a perfect "day in the life" story. Sounds like a good day to be a mom.
Oh that made me laugh!
I think we know what side of the family that pickle juice thing comes from... amanda still takes a big gulps out of the jar.
Oh and I'm also sure we've got some old photos of Amanda sans shirt, which Glenda says was an everyday occurrence!
Too cute Mar! I felt like I was there. Love it!
