I was worried it might be a one time thing or I might have to start shelling out a lot of toys, but we didn't have to do any of that. Once this boy knew he could do it, he really did it. What a big boy!

He finally did it!
Remember way back when I tried to potty train Evan? Well, it didn't work out. So I decided to give up and try again later. Here are the nitty gritty details. When I started again it kind of picked up where it left off (he would go when I took him, but NEVER went on his own and never did the number two). After a few weeks he finally started to go on his own, but still no poop. I tried everything - first told him he could have a prize, a treat, a candy - nothing. So then I tried to take things away - cool underwear, playing iphone games, chocolate milk. No luck. Then one day the clouds opened. I remembered I had a couple small toys put up. I dug out a Buzz Lightyear and put it on top of the entertainment center, out of reach but within sight, and told him he could have it when he pooped. That very night when I was bathing Amz he ran past me into the other bathroom and said he had to poopy. To my surprise, he really did it! I proudly handed over Buzz and he proudly took him. He loved him so much he even wanted to sleep with him.
I was worried it might be a one time thing or I might have to start shelling out a lot of toys, but we didn't have to do any of that. Once this boy knew he could do it, he really did it. What a big boy!

I'm completely impressed. Congratulations!
So, no relapse while on vacation? Good to see you blogging again. It's about time!
Oh, girl, I feel your pain! It seems like with boys it takes forever and then suddenly it just clicks. Whata relief huh! Maybe we should take these boys out for a poop celebration at chuck-e-cheese or something!
GO EVAN!!! YIPEE
he had a couple of accidents while on vacation but I was expecting that, but he's done really well. And Tommie I'm sure a poop celebration would be great for these two crazy boys
YEAH for new post and YEAH for Evan! Potty training is definitely my least favorite part of parenting so far - what a relief to be done...for now! :) Ph, adn Amzie having her first sleepover and in her dance outfit is beyond cute! Love that girl!
