It wasn't very funny when the train was actually attached to my head

The other day I was sitting on the stool in the bathroom waiting for Evan to potty and talking on the phone. Amzie came up behind me with the electrical train holding it out near my head. I shooed her away and told her not to do that, but just a few seconds later there was a train stuck in my hair. It happened really fast - as soon as the train wheels got a hold of my hair, it pulled it and wrapped it around the wheel. Mind you, I was on the phone to my visiting teaching partner. I asked her to hold on while I figured out that yes- the train was stuck in my hair, and no- there was no getting it out by myself. I finished the phone call and weighed my options. Luckily my friend Hallie was scheduled to arrive soon so I could watch her girls. I walked around my house for the next half hour or so looking like this...

...except probably minus the smile. Luckily when Hallie came she was able to pretty quickly get my hair free from the train and we didn't have to cut out a chunk of hair. Phew!

When I explained to Evan why he couldn't have his train, he picked up another one, put it on his head and said "train stuck. Ow, hurt."

Amzie pretty much had this look on her face until we got the train un-stuck. This is her "I know I messed up" face.

I kind of think it's a good look for you. You might even see that look on the runways soon. OK maybe not. I love Amzie's face. All of my kids have a similar one. Except maybe the baby...

Note to self, "don't buy any electric trains." The look on Amzie's face is priceless. Hey Mar, where have you been?

I thought maybe you had an electric train stuck to your fingers given your blog absence...

However, glad Hallie could save the day. It would have been AWFUL to have to cut that out. I'm not sure if would have had any style options other than the haircut Amanda is sporting! Cute do, but probably not your style! :)

Who knew Thomas and friends could be so dangerous? So glad Hallie was on her way!
